Twist Gold’s design expresses the force and movement of a tornado of light and brings personality to contemporary style living spaces. The base is made of hand-curved steel twisted to form two opposite spirals painted gold and bronze. The oval-shaped top is made of extra-clear crystal with a grinded edge. Also available with a round crystal top.

Giampiero Peia

After finishing university at the Politecnico in Milan, Giampiero Peia worked as the assistant of Luca Meda, designing components and industrial products for office furniture.

After 7 years of experience with Ignazio Gardella he started his own practice in Milan.
He has always held the role of Chief Architect in all the projects and also within multidisciplinary teams with primary functions under the directives and creative design processes at all levels and scales of intervention, from the master plan, the choices of composition and construction of buildings, details and general coordination with the specialists and engineers to the detailed design of the interior and articles specially designed as industrial products which are present in the catalogues of the respective companies.

From 2003 to 2006 he was partner of Piero Lissoni in the Lissoni Peia associati.
Guest lecturer at many Universities and an active initiator for workshops and competitions in the curriculum of courses in the Universities.
Also engages in the industrial design production abroad. This opportunity has further contributed to an experience and an international profile with work benefits and awards from the clients and the press.

Giampiero Peia is a designer for Cisal fittings, Martini Illuminazione, and furniture brands such as Poliform, Colombo Stile and Marconi Furniture.
Since 2006 he is partner with Nasazzi Marta of Peia Associates Srl.
The studio has design expertise about a wide spectrum of subject areas, ranging from Residences, Private villas, Open spaces, Public Buildings, Sports Facilities, Commercial Buildings, Factories, Towers, Hotels and Resorts, Retail Showrooms and Stands for exhibitions. The scope of work varies from urban level to interior design and product design scale.
Lately as the office has been working on many residential, offices and hotel projects, this has further led Arch Peia to initiate a research in the field of innovative solutions for architectural, typological, distributional as well as for the detailed solutions, materials and furnishings with materials of latest generation. Sustainable projects and low carbon emission MEP solutions are naturally implemented in all his work modality. Through numerous projects and achievements he has also developed a great experience on the issue of growth and restructuring of the restoration of historic buildings and the difficult, but exciting relationship between ancient and contemporary.
Latest achievements/works
The Kempinski Hotel in Doha, which is of 62 floors, is the tallest building currently in Qatar, the Oyster Dome in the artificial island The Pearl in Qatar, The Alfardan Tower’s podium with commercial spaces including the home of BMW in Qatar, with spa and swimming pool on the 39th and 40th floors. Headquarters of companies like Filmmaster, Inferentia, Cisal, Getrag, Cuneo and Associates, the Sports Center in Salsomaggiore with multi-sports Arena and home of Salso Maggiore Football Club, the Public Library of Fidenza, Villas in France and Italy, residential towers in Shanghai, a complex of 70 residential villas in Cotonou, Benin, residential Condominiun buildings in Milan, a commercial building in Accra, Ghana, the TAD concept store in Rome and Milan. Draw stands and organize events for companies such as Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Telecom, Fineco Bank, Cisal bathrooms and Marconi and also the exhibition of Andy Warhol at the Milan Triennale in 2007.
Among the works in progress
3 villas in the artificial island The Pearl Qatar, a villa in Lome, residential towers and commercial buildings in Shanghai and Milan, 2 tourist and residential complex on Lake Maggiore, the restoration of an abbey on Lake Maggiore, the restoration of the castle of Rocca Brivio in San Giuliano Milanese, the restoration of the old Visconti complex Guardia di Sopra on Naviglio Grande in Milan, the new Cultural Centre in Corsico with a conference centre for 1,000 people for communal use, a design hotel of 150 rooms in Accra in Ghana and a five-star hotel with 250 suites in Benin, with sports and conference centres, spa and wellness centre, restaurants, parks, swimming pools, casino. A preliminary master plan for a resort in Malaysia. Preliminary designs for a 150 rooms Radisson Hotel in Dehradoon, India and an Eco Resort with 130 rooms is being implemented in Andaman Island, India.
